Founded in 2019, SB Energy is a SoftBank Group company. In 2026, SoftBank Group and OpenAI announced a $1 billion investment to support SB Energy as their leading development and execution partner for data center campuses. Ares Infrastructure remains a long-standing supporter of SB Energy’s growth.
Today SB Energy owns and operates more than 3 GW of energy capacity. As an experienced energy operator, we make informed decisions in development that strengthen our projects’ operations and our long-term relationship in the community.
We navigate the complexities of the interconnection process through refined siting, transmission analytics, and pro-active policy discussions, among others in order to accelerate project development.
We foster long-term relationships with leading manufacturers, top-tier EPCs, and others to complete projects efficiently and optimize domestic content.
Determining the best structured solution to fit our partners' needs on sustainability, cost savings and long term budget certainty.
Since our founding in 2019, we have raised $10 billion in project financing to advance our projects and platform.
Our team leverages our in-house digital platform and process automation to operate our 2GW portfolio and inform our development pipeline.
