Local Benefits

New data centers are a significant source of new jobs and tax revenue for local services. Data centers also support America’s global leadership in AI.

Throughout the development process, SB Energy works with local communities to responsibly plan and site new infrastructure.

Data centers host the servers that power online services including websites, cloud storage, social media, and email. Whenever you open an app on your phone, join a virtual classroom or meeting, snap and save photos, or play a game with your friends online, you are using a data center. Local businesses, government, hospitals, and schools rely on data centers to deliver goods and services to you.

Data center infrastructure creates construction jobs and operations jobs, as well as improves local infrastructure via tax revenue, and bolsters other technology companies that support these facilities.

Each site has a unique design. Typically data center buildings resemble warehouses. Most often, several data center buildings are built per data center campus location. A standard design template with fencing around the perimeter for security and safety purposes is used. Where possible, vegetative screening is included.
